What a milestone! One hundred lives touched with the use of a mechanical heart. I am proud to be one of those lives.
I was kindly invited to the 100
th LVAD Celebration at Toronto General Hospital on May 11th, 2011. I was also given the pleasure to speak about my experience and express my gratitude to the medical staff and financial donors. Here are some great pics:

My hubby, Shaun and me.

My Mom, Carol, Shaun, me and my Dad, Dave

Dr. Viv Rao, heart surgeon, me, Dr. Heather Ross, cardiologist, David, another LVAD patient

LVAD patients in attendance
100th LVAD total or in Canada? Just curious
ReplyDeleteGood question. Sorry I wasn't clear. It's the 100th LVAD for Toronto General Hospital.
